The Manager Portal is your tool to access tangible metrics for your entire delivery operation. Use your Manager Portal credentials to log in and begin by selecting the store(s) for which you want to view information.

Dashboard

The first tab will bring you to the Dashboard - this is where you can see a summary of your delivery operation performance. This page is a snapshot that will show how many orders have been completed in the last 24 hours and what your geoverification performance has been over the last 2 weeks.

Deliveries

The Deliveries tab shows a list view of all the delivery orders within the specified period. You can select/unselect which columns you want to view, change the date range, filter based on a specific driver, or search by address (full or partial), order ID, customer name, customer phone number, or customer email address. Data can then be exported as a CSV so this information can be combined with your other internal reports.

When you click on the number in the UUID column, it will take you to a page for that individual delivery order.

This page will give your managers a detailed breakdown of all information relating to this order. Let's review the key features:

  • Delivery Information

    • ID #: corresponds to your POS order ID

    • Pick Up Location: store name and address

    • Drop Off Location: customer name and address

  • Recipient

    • Customer name & phone number

    • # of historical orders (based on phone number)

  • Order Items

    • The items that were ordered on their bill, including quantity, special instructions, and preparation status (note: preparation status is only available with Captain's KDS system)

  • Financial Information

    • Summary of financial information

  • Status

    • Will show as Completed, In Progress, or Scheduled, depending on the live order state

    • If the order has been completed, it will be marked as "Geoverified Successfully" or "Geoverification Failed"

  • Driver

    • Shows the name and picture of the driver who completed the order

  • Timeline

    • The top time shows the actual time stamp based on your local time

    • The bottom time shows time elapsed since the order was received by Captain

  • Route

    • If the driver was grouped >1 delivery, you can see all other orders that were delivered along that route, in which order, and migrate to the order detail page of the other orders

  • Map (at the top of the page)

    • The Blue Store icon shows the restaurant location and the House icon shows the delivery address

    • Each of the dots along the path are time stamps of when the driver's location was recorded - you can hover over each dot to see the precise time that the driver was at that location

    • If there was another order delivered on the same route, a second, faded House icon will show - you can hover over this icon to see the previous customer's name

Drivers - List

In the Drivers list tab, you can add a new driver, check the status of invited drivers, resend invitations, edit and deactivate a driver.

When you click into an individual driver, you will be able to see a general view of their device information, device settings, and general information:

...a summary of their shifts:

....and a data usage log per day:

Drivers - Shifts

For a more granular look at their shift details, select the "Drivers - Shifts" tab. A list view of all driver shifts will be displayed and can be filtered by date. Select "view" to get more details into a driver's shift.

Feedback

If feedback is enabled for your store, you will see it displayed in this tab. The summary at the top splits feedback into two categories: Food and Driver. You can filter the feedback by date.

Below is a list view of each order where feedback was left. It shows:

  • Order number (if you click this you will be redirected to the order detail page)

  • Restaurant details and order date

  • Food rating and comments

  • Driver rating and comments

  • Customer details

If you would like to enable feedback for your store, please contact your Captain rep or message us on our Help chat.

Analytics

The analytics tabs gives you deeper insight into trends and patterns that you can use for marketing, training, and KPI measurement. Each of these tabs is intended to be a summary screenshot of data over a date range. We will do a high level overview of each of their key features in this section. For more complex, specific analysis, you are able to use the CSV export to create your own views and tables.

Analytics - Stats

Filter by date and see three charts that give insight into order volume:

  1. Number of Orders (by month, week, or day)

  2. Orders by Day of Week

  3. Orders by Month

Analytics - Heatmap

The heatmap is a visual representation of order history from your selection store(s).

Analytics - Geoverification

Geoverification reflects the accuracy that drivers are marking orders as "Collected" and "Delivered" at the correct location using the Driver App. There is a geoverified threshold setting for pick up and drop off that is customizable per store (the default and recommended value is 0.3km). This means that drivers must hit "Collected" within 0.3km of the store location, and "Delivered" within 0.3km of the delivery location for an order to be successfully geoverified.

The geoverified page indicates the comparison period, the average geoverification rate, and the percentage of improvement compared with the previous period of the same duration . Please note that these summaries are for all selected stores across the date range. The chart of geoverified deliveries separates the trends for each selected location over the date range.

Analytics - Delivery Times

The delivery times tab summarizes metrics relating to time durations across the order's lifespan compared with the previous period of the same duration (please note that scheduled and unsuccessfully geoverified orders are not included as they skew the results - these numbers are only as meaningful as your store's geoverification rate).

Let's look at the different time stages of an order's lifespan:

  1. Created to Delivered: this represents the duration from when an order entered the Captain system to when the order was marked as Delivered by the driver

    • Total Customer Wait Time

  2. Created to Collected: this represents the duration from when an order entered the Captain system to when it was marked as Collected by the driver

    • Total Cook + Wait Time

  3. Collected to Delivered: this represents the duration from when an order was marked as Collected by the driver to when it was marked as Delivered by the driver

    • Total Delivery Time

The "Breakdown" selection allows you to see each store's individual average and number of orders. Scrolling down will be a daily summary of each time metric per location.

Analytics - Driver Performance

The driver performance page shows individual driver metrics for a given period compared with the previous period of the same duration. Let's review the columns:

  • # of drops: # of individual orders

  • # of routes: # of trips the driver left with a round of deliveries

  • Average drops per route: average # of orders a driver took per trip

  • Geoverified percentage: Successful geoverified percentage

  • Average delivery duration: average total customer wait time (from created to delivered)
